How to Track Lost Android Phone - Android Device Manager
How to Track Lost Android Using Android Device Manager - Not infrequently we find the lost mobile phone case news around us. Either because stolen or perhaps factor "L" (forget). Yes, the sale value is high enough and easy to resell the device - a type of mobile devices makes people - people are not responsible interested can grab it from the owner for his own benefit. But times have become more sophisticated, and some smart phone devices or smartphones already have a security system that allows us to know where our current position of the device if any - time things happen - things that are not desirable (lost).
By using the "tool" of this, we can trace, sound an alarm or delete data on the device we were missing from distance. Well in this post, I will discuss a bit about how to track a lost Android device using the Android Device Manager.
This method can be used without having to install any application on Android devices that we have, so for those of you who have not had time to install the application "Anti-Theft" (anti-theft) or something, you no longer need to worry. But keep in mind is this tool only supports Android devices version 2.2 and above, so for those of you who use the device with version below will not be able to use or enjoy this one tool.
How to use the Android Device Manager as very simple and easy, just need a few things to be able to ensure that this tool will work fine. And as I mentioned above, you do not need to install any application, all you need is an internet connection and GPS (on Android) as well as the tracking device (can use a laptop, tablet PC or other smartphone) requires only an internet connection and a browser (browser applications internet such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.). Well the following easy steps:
1. Make sure you've signed in Google account (gmail) on your Android smartphone. If you have not signed in or do not have a Google account that is stored on the device, then you will not be able to use this service.
2. On the device that will be used to track your Android (in the example, I use a PC or laptop) please open a browser and go to this page www.google.com/android/device manager
3. Note the picture below. If it is open, make sure you are logged into a Google account (gmail) with the same Google account that you use on your Android device is lost (note the red arrow, it is the Google account you use). Then Android Device Manager will ask your permission to be able to track your Android device. Select Accept.
4. If so, note the box below the words "Android Device Manager". If you enter the same Google account (true) then it will be detected what device you use. If you have more than one device, please click the section indicated by the red arrows in the figure below, then select which device you want to track.
5. If it is, the fastest pace you should do when you lose your device is doing the locking device, note the sequence number in the image below. Lock option (locking device) I treasure that the "inventor" or thieves can not tinker with your device.
Click the lock, then the command will appear as shown below. Enter the password you want to lock your device. The device can only be opened by using the password that you use.
6. After locking device, begin to track and find the whereabouts of your device by clicking on the refresh icon (button number 2 in the figure in step 5) and then look at the picture below. It is the last location where your device can be tracked by Google. Please double-click on map to enlarge image. You can also update your device's last known location information by clicking the "refresh" as indicated by the red box.
7. Note the picture below. Red arrow indicates the location where I try to place the device, and it's true - really accurate.
8. If you are already close to the location where the device you expected, then you can turn on the siren to attract attention or to confirm the exact location of your device by pressing the "ring" (note the red box in the figure below). The device will sound with the highest volume though you previously set to silent mode.
NOTE: The device will ring after a delay of 5-10 seconds (depending on connection speed)
But if you can not find your device, it helps you erase all existing data on your device so as not to be abused later. To do so you can choose the Erase Device button located next to the key ring.
